Pam and Wayne welcome you to their lovely home in Machennes, in the heart of the beautiful Charente Maritime region.
Le-Vieux-Chemin (the old path) offers you spacious, comfortable accommodation for your stay, in this tranquil location next to vineyards, sunflower fields and woods.
We offer two large, beautifully
restored and furnished double rooms, both with full en-suite bathrooms,
tea and coffee making facilities and comfortable sitting areas. A family
suite is also available with en-suite shower room. Breakfast is taken
in the guests’ dining room and consists of cereals, fruit juice,
croissants, fruit breads, jams and tea or coffee
The two principal rooms are both comfortably furnished and feature double beds, large wardrobes, chests of drawers and easy chairs. These rooms both have spacious en-suite bathrooms with bath and shower over. Tea and coffee making facilities and fresh fruits are also provided and tasteful decoration with a wealth of exposed beams, all go to offer you a relaxing base for your holiday.
The family suite consists of a double room and a further connecting room with a sofa bed. There is also an en-suite shower room. The family suite is priced as a double room with an extra 10 euros per child per night.
Parking, Garden Furniture, Board Games, Books, Centrally Heated Rooms,
(Hairdryer, Iron, Fax & Internet available if required.)

Machennes is a small village, which is only five minutes drive from all the amenities of the popular tourist towns of Pons and Gemozac, where there is a good selection of bars and restaurants.
We are a few minutes from Junction 36 of the A10 motorway and 25 minutes from the glorious beaches of Royan on the Gironde Estuary.
We are equally close to Cognac and Saintes and the fantastic swimming complex at Jonzac. Angouleme, La Rochelle and Bordeaux are all within an hours drive.
With good country walks on the doorstep, we are ideally placed for your peaceful holiday in France.
Prices are for a room with two people and include breakfast.
January to June & September to December - 42 euros per night.
July and August - 50 euros per night.
Extra Beds - 15 euros per night.
Single Occupancy - 42 euros per night.
Family Suite. Pricing is as for a double room with an extra 10 euros
per child per night.
A 10% discount is given for 7 nights or more.
For bookings of 5 days or more, a deposit of 25% is required with booking
with the balance to be paid 3 weeks prior to commencement of your holiday.
Pre payments can be made by sterling cheque. Payments made on departure
must be in euros or French cheques only.
