We are thrilled to announce
that three rooms of our newly renovated Bed and Breakfast are ready for
visitors. Erick has been working intensively this year and has succeeded
in redoing the walls, building a mezzanine, installing a spiral stairway,
and of course installing full and comfortable bathrooms and wc. He's discovered
a new past-time involving lots of copper piping that results in some pretty
marvelous showers and towel warmers.
I've been merrily investing
in perfect condition antique linen sheets, hand-stitched quilts, comfortable
easy chairs, writing tables, plush towels and more. I've even been working
on an extensive lending library -- take one, leave one, I'm sure you'll
find something to your taste, and even in your language...
All the rooms are very
calm, with two overlooking an inner courtyard, and the third with a few
of our little street in front.
The room with the mezzanine
is perfect for 2 couples, or a couple with children, or simply people
who appreciate space and tall ceilings. Children are welcome, and a baby
bed is available. The blue room has two twin beds that can be fit together
as a king, and an antique wrought iron bed that serves as either a couch,
or a child's (or small person's) bed. Three green room has a large walk-in
shower, three single beds, two of which can come together to form a king
size bed, a writing desk, and a tiny intimate courtyard all of its own.
The rooms are no smoking.
Breakfast is served from
8am - 10am, (earlier if necessary for those who must catch early trains
or planes) with home-made breads, croissants and brioches, jams of our
locally grown fruit, coffee, tea or hot chocolate, juice, fresh fruit,
cheeses and yogurt, and cereal or eggs if desired.
Throughout the spring of
2004 the rooms will be priced at 55E for a couple with breakfast. Additional
persons in the rooms are 15E, children 10E.
