airport, one hour’s drive from the ferry ports of St Malo or one
and half hour’s drive from Caen and half way between Fougeres and
Avranches. A unique opportunity to stay in a Breton village house that
is oozing with charm. The American Military Cemetery at St James, Normandy
is 3 miles from our village.
Our restored 18th century apothecary house has many original features - oak beams, oak floors, marble fireplaces, antiques and an unusual staircase. Completely enclosed by ancient stone walls the large garden is ideal for eating breakfast on warm, sunny mornings or for just sitting and enjoying the rose garden.
We are ideally situated for whatever kind of holiday or short stay you
have in mind. A 35-minute drive will take you to Mont St Michel and some
of the lovely beaches of Brittany and Normandy. While in one and half-hours
you could be standing on the Normandy Beach Landing sights or in 45 minutes
you could be in Rennes, the beautiful medieval capital of Brittany. Golf
and fishing are also close by.
If, however, you just want to soak up the beautiful countryside, the village
of St Georges de Reintembault is surrounded by the rolling hills and green
fields of Brittany. At any time of year there is something for everyone.
